Which Direction Are You Going?

This past Friday, my family and I were riding in the car. We saw this older man and possible grandson riding their bikes. The catch is, they were going the opposite way that we were driving, but on the same side of the road as us. (which was dangerous) and the older man was shouting at the cars to stop. At this very moment, it was like God was telling me something in my heart. At some point in our lives, we have wanted to go in our direction and follow our plans and our goals. But we must come to realize that our plans are not always the best or safest. God has better, safer plans for us and He wants the best for us. Sometimes we get angry that our plans don't work out, and when God's plan is unfolding we say “STOP” because we feel uncomfortable, we don’t like change, and we end up looking just like the man that was yelling at the cars to stop. God's plan is worth being uncomfortable.

Jeremiah 29:11(“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”) God has so much more for your life. We have to have faith and hope that His plan for our lives is better than what we have planned. It may be hard but we always have to remember that His will for our life is better than the one that we create for ourselves.
