The Better Plan

God works in mysterious ways. If you asked me last year what I was going to major in, or what college I was going to go to, I would have told you that I honestly had no clue. The free application week to in-state colleges opened up and I started to apply to random colleges just to see which ones I would get into. Out of all of the colleges I applied to, for some reason, I asked my dad “ How far away is Montreat College?”

When he told me that it was around 30-35 minutes away, I asked him if we could visit.

Fast forward a few days later, We go and walk around Montreat. Instantly I fell in love. I honestly believe that it was no coincidence that I applied there or asked my dad to visit.

That is truly a campus where Jesus is present. And it is a bonus that it is so beautiful and filled with God's creation and love. Later I found out they had a Chorus and Worship Ensemble team, and I ended up trying out. I ended up getting into both programs, and now I will get to do something I love and I get to glorify Him through that opportunity!

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

I am so thankful and blessed that His plan is always better. His plans are better for your life too. Sometimes it is hard to be patient and wait for God's plan for our lives. But His plans are so worth waiting for! No matter where you are in your life, God has a plan for your life, for His glory.
